Meet the Board

The Board of the Friendlier City Project are the people behind the scenes that make everything happen! The Board currently consists of 11 active members who serve across 6 subcommittees: Mutual Aid, Finance, Events, Media and Community Relations, Governance, and Volunteer.
Mikaya Green
Mikaya Green is the Chair of the Friendlier City Project and one of the founders of the group. She also serves on the Media and Community Relations, Finance, and Events Committees.
Kellie White
Kellie White is the Co-Chair of the Friendlier City Project. She also serves on the Media and Community Relations and Events Committees.
Jon Smith
Jon Smith is the Friendlier City Project’s Treasurer and Head of the Finance Committee. He also serves on the Media and Community Relations and Events Committees.
Justice Hudson
Justice is a lifelong West Virginian and has lived in the friendly city since 2020. He serves as the organization’s Secretary and the Chair of its Mutual Aid Committee. Justice works for two local businesses, and is an independent freelance writer.
Ellery McGregor
Ellery McGregor is the Friendlier City Project’s Pride Coordinator. She also serves on the Media and Community Relations and Events Committees.
Rosemary Ketchum
Rosemary Ketchum is one of the founders of the group and is the Head of the Governance Committee. She also serves on the Mutual Aid Committee.
Adam Payne
Adam Payne is the Head of the Media and Community Relations Committee. He also serves on the Events Committee.
Nathan Heckman
Nathan Heckman is the Head of the Events Committee. He also serves on the Governance and Mutual Aid Committees.
Sadie Varlas
Sadie Varlas serves on the Finance, Events, and Volunteer Committees.
Ocean Smith
Ocean Smith is the Head of the Volunteer Committee. They also serve on the Governance and Mutual Aid Committees.
Aidan Kosol
Aidan is the Youth Representative on the board, and serves on the Volunteer and Media and Community Relations Committees.
